When I was twelve years old my Girl Scout Troop did a photography merit badge and I've had a camera in my hand ever since. I spent every waking moment in the darkroom in high school then worked as a 35mm film projectionist before studying cinematography at Columbia College Chicago.  After graduation I came up as a film loader before becoming a full time camera operator and DP.  I am currently an active member of the Society of Camera Operators and a proud member of the International Cinematographers Guild IATSE Local 600.  I shoot both documentary and narrative films and television in addition to commercials, music videos, and live events.  My work has aired on Netflix, Amazon Prime, CNN, Showtime, and PBS, among others, and includes multiple award-winning shorts and features. I am interested in shooting amazing stories regardless of genre or budget.  I have extensive experience with both film and digital acquisition, and am happy to shoot both union and independent productions. I am available as a local in Austin and Los Angeles, as well as for domestic and international travel. When I am not working I can usually be found at Pearl Jam concert. With a camera, of course.
